About Dorothy
Dorothy Waterman is a certified personal trainer, mat Pilates instructor, and balance specialist with over 30 years of experience helping clients build strength, balance, and confidence. Since 1991, she has specialized in working with older adults and individuals recovering from surgery or joint replacements, guiding them toward greater stability and quality of life.
A black belt in taekwondo and an Ironman finisher, Dorothy brings the same dedication to her clients that she has lived in her own fitness journey. She stays current with certifications from the American Council on Exercise and the National Academy of Sports Medicine, and regularly attends educational seminars to bring the latest research and tools to her practice.
Beyond fitness, Dorothy helps clients embrace whole-person wellness through plant-based nutrition, mindfulness, and lifestyle practices that support long-term health. Whether training one-on-one, leading group classes, or teaching Aqua Aerobics at Pasadena’s Villa Gardens, her mission is simple: to help every client feel strong, healthy, and built to last.
